Subframe Bolts - Minimum Quantity Again

Recommended Posts

Chaps,

I'm ordering new from Peugeot and City in Basingstoke tell me they "only" come in packs of 5 - sensible when there's 6 in total.

Does anyone need 4 if I buy 2 lots? Easier if someone quite local as I'll order and then there's 4 spare if anyone wants them at cost (about 6.50) collected.

Alternatively does anyone know where I can source the 6 bolts I need>

TIA

You don't need 6 the same. You need 4 the same and 2 different.

4 at the back, 2 at the front? Couldn't find them split on miamstu.co.uk's link.

To be fair I'm probably being mildly fussy as the old ones are fine - just wanted the added "security" of new bolts - am I being over cautious?!

Just clean up and reuse the old ones. Use a bit of loctite when reinstalling them

Andy, clean them up and bring them down to Portsmouth with the rest of your bolts and get them re plated at Macro developments and pop in and see me on your travels :D

I wouldn't loctite the front bolts. They have captive nuts and are an arse to replace. Just torque them up to the correct setting. JD
