Fuel Filler / Breather Pipe Removal?

Recommended Posts

Andy_C

Last job before she goes to the painter and I've searched without success.

How do I remove the pipes from the OSR arch? I've taken off the 2 torx screws from the top but can't see what's holding it on inside the arch.

There will be a 10mm nut or two in the arch under all the mud holding the moulded plastic part to the arch... Might just be one, can't totally remember.

Have a scrape at about 2 o clock in the arch..

There is one hidden behind the pipes, you can just see it here...

OK so I found the 10mm nut - all good.

However it was rusted solid and nothing I threw at it could shift it so I resorted to cutting the bracket from the pipe and will now attempt to get the nut off with my newly acquired Irwin bolt grips.

This leaves me with a cut off bracket and the pipe - leave, glue or replace with a new pipe if I can find one?

Andy,

I've still got that pipe on my donor, if you want it, it's yours.

Paul that'd be great, many thanks. No rush as it's not going to get any use just yet.
