Rear Beam Bearings

Can anyone confirm the best place to buy inner and outer bearings currently?

Are peugeot still providing ones with less rollers than the original ones?

Or are the 306 bearings the ones needed these days?

Looking online it seems the SNR bearings have less rollers. But the Reco kits on eBay that come with the shafts look like they have a full house of rollers.

Does anyone have any experience with the Reco kits?

I imagine peugeot are buying the bearings in from an outside source, and 205/306 bearings are the same.

By the time that it's showing camber, it's probably too late - shafts will certainly be dead and chances are so will the tube unless you catch it early. You're far better off changing the bearings and seals before there's any failure symptoms.

I bought new shafts too infact the whole 300 odd quid set at the time, JUST before the polish sellers started appearing on ebay with the cheap kits

Ive also got another spare disk beam with a mint tube (have already stripped it long ago to check it) but unusually it had no arb it had plastic caps in the ends, never seen that on a disk beam before.

I was going to rebuild the disk beam with all the new parts and attempt to fit a 24mm arb ive also bought especially but have decided against using disks now.

It does make me wonder what the quality of the polish parts are like for the price of them. I wonder if anyone has gone any significant mileage yet on a beam built up with them.

I see you can buy new outright beam tubes complete with bearings on eBay.

I imagine that would be a base model beam built up with disc brakes slo.

Mmm thats the only logical explanation really but if you were going to the trouble of fitting disks would you really not fit an arb?

Not only that are the caps that go in base model arms with drums the same fit as disk arms?
