Been Off The Grid For A While...

Hello all!

I've been off travelling around Eastern Europe/ Middle East, and most recently been living in Vancouver for getting on 2 years now but will be returning to England at the end of this month. Keen to get back in a 205, It's been far too long and I'm looking forward to getting my head under the bonnet (hood) once again!

I'm glad to see the forum still going strong and a big influx in new parts being produced which is awesome. I've still got 3 205's sat at home in various stages so will be needing some parts no doubt. Hopefully get my trusty 1600 back up and running and finish the gti-6 in the mean time.

The only Peugeot's over here are the odd 505 and one or two Citroen's from the 70's. Needing a project i ended up buying this bit of kit. It was awesome, Nissan z31 300zx 3.0 v6 single Turbo. Was an 86' with digital dash, climate control etc etc, it also had a few mods. Was great fun and made a lovely noise. Was good to drive something RWD, it liked going sideways, only thing missing was an LSD. Looks like there are one or two back in England, but trying to find one that isn't rotten will be a challenge!

Hopefully get to catch up with a few people at Pugfest this year!

Will be good to see you back and finish the Gutmann one off. You're probably too young to remember the Chase HQ arcade game which had one of those Nissans in it!

I'm old enough to remember it, it was Chase HQ 2 that had the option of the red targa Z32 300zx. :)

Interesting you should mention Peugeots in Canada...I'm currently seeking a job over there and plan to ship my 205 over there.

Well i got the trusty 1600 fired up yesterday, took the plugs out and turned it over by hand, all was good. Span it over to get some oil pressure, bunged the plugs back in it, fresh fuel and it fired straight up and idled after a few seconds of feathering the throttle. Not bad for 2.5yrs sat outside!
