205/309 Front Anti Roll Bar Bushes

Recommended Posts

I have just prepped and painted 2 front subframes complete with anti roll bars/clamps and I am now putting them back together . One has the standard bushes fitted and the other has purple ones , shall I refit them dry or is it worth lubricating them to stop any possible squeaking when back on the cars .If so what lube to use ?

You cannot get 309 ARB bush's anymore, The purple ones sound like powerflex (Listed for 205 & 309 which tells all) and never fit nor do they generally have the cut out for the location of the ARB,

Leave the std ones dry

I'd use a smear of rubber grease.

If you try hard enough is some 309 OE bushes left.

I figured the purple ones were Powerflex , they do fit quite well and one has the gap for the location bulge on the ARB .Both sets looked like they had a little bit of lube on them but its probably just engine oil that's found its way down there .

All are in good condition and will be reused .
