btw iirc, there was a thick wire associated with the airbag which needs an ignition feed to it. (doubled up with the wire for the lambda, which is fed from your switched live)

what year is your car?

im not sure and its a bit to cold for me to go back out and double check . I wouldn't of thought I would of had the 4 lives at the double relay if that was the problem.

also this engine was previously in a phase 1 and had been running

Just buzz from 2a to pin 14, make sure you have it connected to the 306 loom properly.

Did you unplug it from one car and fit it into another? if so you need to check that both sides of the brown lugs match, the location of some wires did vary.

if I power pin 14 the fuel pump bursts into life . no had to change where the phase 1 loom joined the 306 loom a the phase on only has 1 brown plug

No worries, honestly it's very easy. Only need 3 or 4 wires to get it running.

Here's how i wired mines (if you can zoom enough to see the file). The red wires are new wires i ran from the OS footwell/one of the brown plugs, out through the NS bulkhead, done in a flexi conduit.

Any queries just ask, (but it seems like a lifetime ago now)
