Nath88n 37 Posted January 22, 2015 I'm looking for the smallest and narrowest steel wheel that would fit under 1.9 GTI brakes, to chuck in the boot for trips to Europe or long journeys in the UK. hoodygoodwood 70 3 Cars Posted January 25, 2015 Since having a couple of spare wheels stolen from under the rear of my 205 GTI many years ago I have carried the spare in the boot . This takes up a lot of room so I went to my local breakers about 3 years ago and asked if I could try some space savers , the first one they bought out was a 206 item iirc , it is about an inch smaller in overall diameter but fitted ok and I have had it in my boot since . Cost about £20 and needs tapered wheel bolts which I picked up at the same time .The cage and hook can be removed so saves a decent amount of weight as well . 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
