Sad Times Ahead

That's not enough "me time" for any man.

He gets more than I do! But for me it's not about being under the thumb or anything like that, it's more a matter of respect for my wife as her job is pretty much 24/7/365 and she doesn't get any "me time" and is always knackered, so I help as much as I can and any spare time we spend as a couple or doing family stuff. But that's only cos our boy is full on and still not in a good sleep routine, things will settle down in time and we will get time to ourselves to pursue hobbies.

Wonder if I've put anyone off having kids?!

To unofficially earn additional "me time" i find doing "speed chores" helps. This involves doing chores (when she's not around) at speed, speed dish washing, speed bin emptying, speed hoovering, with the odd speed GTU (general tidy up) for good measure

I do this.

Works a treat.

Does make me wonder though why she takes so long about doing the chores sometimes. But I'm not stupid enough to say.....

I do this to earn garage points, even so with my own work commitments I barely have time to do anything.

But think of it this way, for a simple sacrifice of something else monetary wise get a cleaner. It's the best thing we ever did and keeps things ticking along nicely (no ear bashing).

I also use the speed chores technique, hoovering, emptying The dishwasher, sorting out the different laundry piles. Then I use I'm just going to the workshop for five minutes ( meaning 1Hour :) ) technique also .

But my wife is also very understanding. This morning I went to do man shopping and took the little one along With me, meaning the wife was able to have a bath wash her hair etc, cam home e and every was happy.
