205 Central Locking 'blipper' Question

Hey gents,

 

I recently sold one of the STDT 205's that I had and I have the central locking blipper left over that goes on the keyring, can this be reprogrammed for use on another 205 or is it only for the car it shipped with?

They're not programmable. They're matched to the specific receiver unit in the car.

I'm going to have the same problem since my original receiver torched itself.

 

AFAIK they are matched as Ryan says but surely there has to be a way to reprogram? We are not exactly talking state of the art tech here after all!
