Recommended Posts

Dangerous Dave

Hello,

Right i have pulled a 1.9 turbo diesel lump out of my 205 gti and put a stock 1.9 petrol back in the car is up and running.

anyway heres the problem (i have looked but there is no answer in the search bar) i have a misfire at 2500 rpm to 3000rpm ive done the normal when replacing the engine.

new oils engine and box

new plugs

new leads

new coil

new rotor arm

new dizzy

new fuel relay

new ing amp

new fuel filter

new temp sensor

2nd hand sad

the list goes on

also fitted a known working afm from a member on here..

this past week i have cleaned all connections/earths agian an looked for any air leaks/splits in the pipe work. ive had the car in the garage to have the mix set up so that all good.

there is one thing when you rev the car the red rad light flickers on around the time the misfire starts any ideas?

Thanks Dave

When you fitted the new ignition amp did you use thermal transfer paste on the heatsink?

The rad light flashing on can be caused by interference from the HT leads, are they clipped in place or just hanging loose?
