Recommended Posts

flyfisher

Just purchased a 205 cti mi16 Looked at car today noticed coolant loss It appears on the header tank just under the cap there is a about a inch long pipe with no hose on it it's not the pipe from tank to rad but another outlet. So when engine is running coolant is escaping and being lost. My question is where should this outlet be connected to there has to be a pipe that should go on it but where should that go. Any one know. It must be the same as any 205 gti head er tank. Just can't find what it should cone t to any idears would be help full please thanks peter

Just thinking if overflow expansion tank cap must be shot if it's letting coolant up to that outlet where coolant is escaping

Usually either a faulty or incorrect cap, but could be that there's excessive pressure in the cooling system - a common head gasket failure symptom.
