markw 1 Posted January 3, 2015 Hi, I have a hill limb car, and was wondering how much of the rear cabin and boot area (if any) could be cut away without effecting rigidity, it is fitted witha SD C44 cage which is probably the stiffest part of the shell. I've done a quite extreme job on the doors, and removed all the interior door cards, and unused brackets etc, has anyone got any pics on the rear of their cars that have been extensively lightened The car is 780kg at the moment and I would like to get it closer to 700-750 if possible Thanks Mark I can't add a new thread to the Motorsport prep forum before anyone asks!!! Anthony 1,002 Posted January 3, 2015 What limitations, if any, do you have in order to comply the hill climb regs? That would be a good place to start, as some limit what bodyshell metalwork removal you can do between the front and rear axle line for example.
