Convert Hydraulic Be4 Box To Manual, Possible?

Recommended Posts

timoth123

I'm sure I've read somewhere that it's possible to convert the hydraulic BE4 gearbox (the one on the 206 gti, ew10j4s engine) fork to a manual one that will take a BE3 cable for example. Possibly using Partner bits???

Can anyone confirm or deny?

Welshpug, I've got it in my head it was yourself that mentioned it??

yeah, just buy the cable arm and bracket from a dealer, I would think the van clutch cable would do the trick.

iirc the 138 gti used a cable clutch so thats another donor for the clutch arm, not sure on the pedal box end, but the cable from a 206 may work too.

or, fit the 206 master, goliath has used them on v6 conversions, probably an easier cheaper task in the end and a nice light clutch pedal

Off topic but I could do something similar and convert my civic type R box to manual cable like this :)
