Igasket

Is their a gasket between the water housing and the back of the engine? Peugeot by my house seem to think their isn't but it seems logical to me that their should be one?

alloy housing uses a gasket and plastic uses a rubber seal, though later engines like the gti6 used an alloy housing and a rubber seal.
