New Wheels For New Cti

Recommended Posts

As above looking at some lenso alloys. These are 108 PCs. 15 inch dia. But my choice is only available in 7j width. Car is fitted with a 309gti rear axle which might help with the xtra width of rim. Has anyone tried 7j rims do they fit any advise would be helpfull. Happy Christmas to all members thanks peter

309 beam will be more of a hindrance than a help, ET15 7" wheels go straight on a standard 1.9 or 1.9 with 1.6 beam.

Is that even if new wheels have a bigger inset. My thinking 309 beam would have xtra width

no because they'll hit the trailing arm.

If they are ford fit wheels then you can rub hubcentric adaptors/spaces to get the offset more appropriate

Bit of a hijack, but will 15 x 6" with ET30 (using 195 50 15 tyres) fit on a 1.6GTI or will I need circa 10mm spacer?

they may well go on as is, just be a bit tight, but yes an 11mm spacer wil take them to the same as the 1.9 wheel

That's spot on, found some brand new OZ racing wheels for peanuts which will do for running around on the roads between events and my annual big trip to the 205 Rallye Club Annual meet in France :)
