Sump Switch

Recommended Posts

James Cornell

This is probably a really simple question but I am confused. There is an oil switch and pressure sender on the front of the block, but there is also another switch on the back of the sump.

The spade connector has snapped from the sump switch but I wondered what it was for and if it is worth me repairing it? If they are fairly cheap I will replace it but I know what some of these pug parts are like (I'm sure they are full of titanium give the cost)

Its the oil temp sensor for the dash gauge. They aren't too expensive, usually about a tenner, but there are two different threads; m14 and m16 so you need to see which you have.

If I remember correctly it's an M4 stud (6mm socket) nut and a tooth spring washer that go on there.
