Seam Sealer Recommendations

Recommended Posts

yeti-dj

Hello,

Just started to restore my 205 and looking for a good seam sealer to use once I have finished all the metal work, something close to what Peugeot would have used.

Any tips?

Here is progress so far

Was thinking about tiger seal

Probably gonna paint it in etch primer, then tiger seal, then mastic 121..

Hopefully keep the rust bugs away for a while

alwya etch first then seal. i always use 3m spray sealer, its more fluid and easy to work that tiger seal or normal 3m. spray sealer sqeezed from a normal mastic gun and brushes out perfect too. a lot better than any specific brush on sealer.

you can buy shaped mastic tube ends aswell to recreats factory finish. door skin edge ones with the tab cut off work well.

Have you got a 3M product code? Think I might try that when I do mine.
