The code of box makes no difference, all BE diff's fit any other BE box, Just need the spec of the car and if it has power steering or not, Tran X is a waste of time as they where bought by Quaife and if very old technology now and getting spares a nightmare.

It is why I have supplied the 3J LSD for many years without any issues in all types of motorsport

Box wise for gearing the best option is to find a 205 1.6 or 1.9 box and use the 4.4 final drive, failing that you can rehouse a 206 GTi box into a XU bellhousing which is a similar ratio as the 16v gears are far too long no matter what

3J is the only one which is why I only supply them, Tested in all area's and give very good results, When I had a tran X I sold it knowing Quaife had bought them (Don;t like dealing with them) and found 3/4 second with it fitted over a 39 second run

Carriage is the biggest killer for you at around £85.00

well do you have PAS or not?!

ramp angles and preload depend on use, just tell whoever you buy it from and they supply a suitable setup.

As Welshpug has said, if you need a Diff confirm your car spec and use then one can be configured for your use

+ on the 3J I cannot be beaten on price and you will need new bearings and bolts with it
