Mi16 Thermostat Housing Leaking...

Hi,

 

My Mi16 is leaking coolant where the thermostat housing mates to the head;

You can just about see the trickle of coolant along the top edge. How is it mated to the head? Mine looks like it's been fitted with sealant...is that the way to do it? Clean it up and refit with a bit of RTV?

just sealant indeed, no gasket.

Ta - means I can take it apart knowing I've got all I need to put it back together again. Always something to do!
