Thinking Of Selling My Mi16

Recommended Posts

Gentrix

I am in the unfortunate position, that I have to clear and leave the garage in which I have my car and the whole collection of parts, that I found over the years.

So I have to consider selling my 205 Gentry Mi16.

Is here any interest in LHD cars? And can someone adivse me on what might be a realistic price for that car?

I know, that the "what's it worth" questions answer is always - " it's what someones paying you..." :-)

But I only can compare to my local market here and this is there my car will not fit in so easy, because my modifications have not been conformed by the TÜV and thus it is not streetlegal in germany.

For example the GAZ suspension is a no-go for the TÜV because their certificates are not sufficient.

Please stick to advising Gentrix on value, if this turns into a for sale thread it'll be locked.

Bit harsh jack! Far from people offering him money?! If the car is in germany i would suggest its worth more than a uk based one, they sell like hot cakes over on the continent!

The car is located in Hamburg - Germany.

Yes - good 205s might fetch good money over here.

But I have a feeling that more track orientated cars are more appreciated in UK.

Mine is a rough one, even tough it is technically in very good condition.

Talking about the spares. There is at least one complete Mi16 incl gearbox on a 8v management sitting around.

But I will make some pictures tomorrow and will post some stuff in the sales section

I've recently sold my GAZ setup for the exact same reason and I think I spent ~250 Euros over what I got for a full set of Bilsteins and Eibachs which I guess the TÜV guys will love.

Only saying this because a valid TÜV could mean the difference between a decent price and peanuts or even finding a customer or not.

Might also be interested in some of your spares if they'll be iloxx friendly.
