Do the originals have a 3 piece rear spoiler?

Well I've received a couple of pics of it.

It's defo a full resto job. But from what I can see/been told everything body wise is there and it looks to be a genuine kit (although I'm judging that from 2 pictures and just comparing to photos on the dimma site, the rear spoiler is defo a 3 piece jobbie)

Just waiting for a few more pictures and to arrange a viewing.

Just itching to go view it now :(

The two guys from Dimma were down at work a few months back getting a roof skin off me. Was talking to them about Dimmas vs Fakes, he was lookimng at my mates bosses wide body Capri, forget half of what he said now! Have you spoke to them directly already? Might still have nis number at home.

best to check under kit if you can as most have some sort of rot setting in.

I emailed terry Pankhurst asking what he needs to verify if it's a real one. There's no record of registrations or chassis numbers.

So I think they just basically say yes from identifying the kit as being theirs.

As the one I'm going to view isn't toad worthy I asked if he can identify it without actually seeing it and he said send him lots of photos and he will have a pretty good idea.

dimma Belgium use reg and vin number to verify car and issue new plaque thats how mine was confirmed terry will do a visual inspection and will give you a certificate to be the plaque is more important. If your not worried about it being a factory one does not mean its not a real kit thats been brought and fitted just not by dimma.

Received some pictures of it today, needs a hell of a lot of work.

If it were defo an original I'd have it, but can't justify taking a chance and then it being worth less than I paid for it.

I know they can fetch good money, but it needs loads of work.

Engine

Full respray

Wheels

Full interior

And God knows what else, so it's a no to this one.

you are better of building them from scratch chap , look at mine , jutties or zara's to name a few

you can then build it to your spec and know its done correct also you will know how solid it really is

lets face it , you don't have to be a master mechanic to put everything in

I know what you're saying. I'm no stranger to large projects.

But I don't want to throw money at it if it's not an original one, why spend 4-5k on a none original dimma for it to only be worth 3-4 tops?

Don't get me wrong I'm not doing it to make money, I want an original dimma.

Not a copy or a dimma kit fitted by somebody else.

Browsing on eBay earlier it looks like James on here has advertised his silver Dellorto carbed MI16 Dimma.

That's one lovely Dimma B)

Thanks, it's completely the wrong time of year to sell it but hopefully someone's after one.

post the pics up Pete! Be good to see them.

He sent a few. Think he may be on here.

The spoiler looks genuine, but without the full sheet off its hard to say about much else.

I've not seen either of the bumpers.

Yeah. That's the one.

I didn't know there was no v5 either :(

Shame really, as I say if it was defo an original I'd have had it no matter how much work was involved.

Was even going to kill my 306 rallye for the engine and a few other bits.
