Yeah you like it tidy!

Where my car is at the minute I need to give folk who visit a short site Health and Safey induction to let them know of some of the "traps" and hazards they may come across.

Ha haaaa.

I am sure in a week or two it wont look anything like it does now, although tbh its a bit of a mess at the other end that you cant see.

I want to get the floor painted etc, but its finding the time!

Spent a little more time on it lastnight, removing underseal in the arches, I am surprised how good they are!

Plan is to get all the underseal off the arches, then underseal them clear.

Sold the Pipercross air filter, and ordered a new one, as I hate how grubby it looks!
Also ordered the speedo cable, speedo drive, rocker cover gasket and a couple of other little bits.

Rocker cover is off, and will strip the paint off it tomorrow ready for sanding and repainting.

I have been looking around for nice rocker cover bolts, but I don't seem to see any......

Does anybody know where these are available?

Spooks said they are having some made, but I will need some fairly soon.

My many years building V8's is showing lol.

I have made this point many times in my life, on cars which don't have rockers, they are still called rocker covers....

I think cam cover just doesn't sound right lol..... :)

If you want to save money you can repair sheared original bolts, get them on a lathe then drill and tap them and screw in some threaded rod of the appropriate length.

Mine are all in-tact, just look slightly scruffy...

Will most likely buy new ones, I just didn't realise they would be so expensive for these....

If they're intact get them plated.

Put a wanted add up, I've got loads of the thing's, most need re-plating thou as the chrome finish is showing it's age, Mind that link is not all of the bolts unless the description is wrong as the 1.9's used 2 smaller non plated ones in the middle and a threaded one in the middle for the spark plug cover to screw into, the S16 one's had a cut out for some reason too in it by the cam belt cover end

Cheers for the advice guys, I had a quick look at them this morning, and most look ok tbh, just need a clean, will see how they look once cleaned and then consider having them plated if they need it.

I hope to get a few more bits done tonight, but got some stuff to do to the R5 GTT as well tonight, so might struggle.
Would like to finish the rear arches if I can.

A few pics....
