What Gearbox Final Drive?

Hi I’m new to the forum, I bought a 205 GTI with a Mi16 engine around 5 months ago and am after trying to suss out some of the bits on it. When I bought the car the previous owner said he thought it had a shorter final drive in it but couldn’t confirm it. So I was just wondering if anyone could shed any light on it. So here are some details (what I think you need just let me know if I’ve missed something)

 

So the car tops out at 135mph (GPS speedo) doing 7000rpm and its on 195/60 R15 tyres

Sounds like a 1.6 GTi gearbox I'd say.

 

Is that a typo or are you really running 195/60R15 tires btw? That would be quite a bit too tall a sidewall if so - should be 185/55R15 as it left the factory or 195/50R15 which most people run for choice/cost reasons.

Oh my bad sorry got confused with of the 60 profile of my mini, ye its ment to say 50
