Accident - Help Needed

Hi all

 

I'm looking for some help is possible.

My friends wife was involved in an accident yesterday. Her vehicle was shunted in the rear causing a lot of damage to the rear end and n/s quarter panel etc.

However the driver of the offending vehicle reversed and quickly sped off. This accident has been reported and they managed to get a partial reg number. but not the make and model as it was wet and dark.

 

But they have the front chin splitter from the vehicle that collided with them. This is now with the police.

Having looked at the splitter it's a Peugeot one. Looking at the size of it, it looks to be off a 106 or maybe a 306?

This chin splitter has various stamps and markings. Looks like it has a production stamp of Feb 2003 in the date box section.

The part number I believe is 96258 79 177

Then it has P/E EPPM 41658

 

I'm hoping someone on her can tell from the above the make and model of the said car. As it may help in the investigation.

Looks like a 206 one judging by the part number and a quick google search.

 

Hope you can track the bastard down.

We found a van once from some parts that were left behind after it destroyed the side of my mates parked TR6, without google to look up the part numbers we'd have had no chance even though it turned out they only lived two roads away!

 

Good luck finding them.
