Mi16 Conversion And Vts Power Steering Question

I am hoping to obtain a power steering rack from an Xsara VTS and install it whilst doing the MI and 205 conversion however ages ago i remember someone on here having difficulties with the fitting of it..........anything i should know :}

 

Also which 205 lower steering column do i need to use to fit the VTS rack and does it need to a square or a round. [The rack is miles away away and i cant check it ]

The Ph2 vts rack is square type, almost certain Ph1 is the same.

 

Not sure about your other queries, i hope there's no difficulties as i've got one ready to go on minus the PA.

 

One thing that springs to mind though is the pipe fitting types, on the xsara Ph2 ones, being "push in" with a bolt that holds them in place.

Got it sorted now.....found heaps of info on this subject....finally.

And as luck should play it i had a spare car sitting there with the lower column [non PAS ].............yay !!
