Bit Stupid This One

ALEX205CTI

Hi,

I have a 205 CTI . It has been in storage for 1 year while I did other projects. Went to move it today and it seems to be stuck in gear. I freed off he brakes but the disc only turns 1/2 an inch back and forward then stops. Only like this on the driver's side. Looking for clues. Thanks.

Sorry to sound stupid here.

Is it in gear and you cant push it around? Can you take it out of gear?

Or wont come out of gear with clutch dipped?

Or is it an Auto and wont move?

Hi, It is a 1600 CTI manual. Been standing 1 year. The car appears to be in neutral but I was wondering if the linkage was worn it would appear in neutral but not be. Never happened before....Can't roll it....Thanks

I'd get under and give the rods a wiggle whilst someone moves the gearstick.

When i popped my small linkage a few weeks ago i was stuck in second, but the gearstick was like stirring a plate of soup.

Maybe worth a quick check.
