Xasara Vts Phase.2 High Pressure Hose Leak

Recommended Posts

Ams

Hello, I've just had my VTS Phase.2 PAS system fitted, unfortunately a leak has been found in the rubber section of the high pressure line. I've noticed the part is NFP on servicebox (besides, it's around £200!)

I've been informed that a Hydraulic Hose specialist should be able to fix the leaky section by replacing it with a hydraulic hose and soldering new fittings on the solid pipe section. I've tried one place and they wanted to know details that I could not answer such as :

Operating Pressure on line.

Operating temp of fluid.

Material type.

Type of joins.

Is there any further advice anyone can provide as to how and fix this issue? I could say its a hydro line for a dumper but may get the above questions flung at me. Honestly I'm just hoping someone has a high pressure line to sell!

Elp!

Try another hydraulic specialist, I've had PAS hoses made by several different places and they've never asked me anything else once I said it was for power steering.

I'll definitely be trying another place Jack, I'll take the high pressure pipe section to this next place rather than speak over the phone :) Dobboy recommended a place nearby so I'll see if they can help. Dcc is there a specific model of Berlingo I should be looking at? Also what model year would it be?

Thanks for the suggestions.
