Recommend Me Some Decent Bright White Lights...

Recommended Posts

ATK

My current bulbs in my front lights are unmatched and are pretty yellowy,

Any recommendations for some nice white bulbs? Don't want to do any conversions etc, just a decent set of white bright bulbs will do.

I'm assuming I'll need H4 headlights, 501 sidelights, H3 driving lamp??

Cheers

I fitted some Osram Nightbreakers Plus' to my 306. Gave a decent improvement over the old bulbs, even though I wasn't expecting miracles! They cost a few quid mind, but I got them on a BOGOF on Amazon.

OK cheers, can anyone confirm that it's the following:

H4 - main lights

501 - sidelights

H3 - driving lamps

Cheers all!

Give all the contacts and connectors in the wiring a good clean, too, with some electrical contact cleaner. It can make quite a difference. There can be a significant voltage drop across oxidised contacts. You may find your existing bulbs aren't as bad as you thought.

If anyone is interested I have had an email from Eurocarparts with an offer on the Osram night breakers, 50% off, selling for £17.99 instead of £35.98 not sure if it's a true 50% off as I am not sure of the genuine normal sale price. But maybe of use if you are looking for them.

Just had a quick search on EBay and Amazon and it seams the pre sale has been inflated and just as good if not better offers can be had else where.

CREE LED bulbs. Got a CREE bike light and on full power it's brighter than the headlights on my 5 series.

Haven't seen any live yet, but hoping they won't be as bad as aftermarket HID which I hate to death.
