Modified / Painted 1.6 Alloys "pepperpots"

Recommended Posts

artois7

Hi all,

As much as I don't like saying "pepperpots" as this isn't an xr2 forum, has anyone got any pictures of painted / modified "pepperpot" 1.6 gti alloys? all manner of colours welcome.

Determined to stick with my 1.6 gti wheels as if I'd wanted a 1.9, I'd have bought one ;) but not sure I like the standard colour.

Cheers.

They look good done Goodwood style in anthracite with a polished lip and center - don't have a picture to hand though.

(I'll reply to your PM when I get chance btw Dan - not ignoring you!)

The guys at pug fest who were selling refurbd wheels from their van opposite the pscuk stand (anyone know who I mean?) had a set done in black with a mirror/polished centre and they looked incredible, wasn't sure how they would look on the car. Any more pics anyone can share?

No worries on the messages, no hurry at all.

I painted up a set with black centres and silver lips, looked pretty good.

Do you have contact details and does he refurbish other than 205 wheels?

I'm currently looking for ideas on the wheel front for my 1.6. Really would like to keep the pepperpots but they just don't set the car off like I want? colour-wise or how they fill the arches!

Spacers and lowering an option? any one got any pictures for inspiration?

I'm still having that same debate. Got a 309 beam which may or may not help fill the rear arches a bit, I'll post pics when it's fitted. Not sure on the front.
