Are There 5 Plastic Spacers Per Seat?

Recommended Posts

Stu

Hi all,

After refitting my seats I only had 4 spacers per seat, so figured they went everywhere except the metal pressing that bolts onto the inner sill; now the seats looks a little off so I'm wondering if they've been lost before I got to them ????

Should there be five per seat, and hence one under every bolt location?

Are these spacers strictly necessary? Could they be removed to help lower the seating position? Or will the subframes not fit properly without them?

I removed them from my seats to loose a bit of height and have had no issues

Likewise, I managed to source a set from a base model car which is essentially 4 washers and a rectangular plate for the mounting near the handbrake.

I think the washers are necessary to spread the load and stop the runners fouling the carpet.

Thanks for the answers gents!
