Lambda Sensor 4-2-1 Manifold

Recommended Posts

ASBGTi

Evening,

Just fitted my Maniflow 4-2-1 manifold to my Mi16 and upon wanting to re-fit the lambda sensor, I realised there is no fitting for it....

So.....what do I do with this? Is it a simple case of removing the fitting from the original downpipe? Does it need it, or when I have it mapped with this be taken in to account?

Not come across this before...

Cheers

just buy a boss from eBay, m18x1.5, have it welded on at the 2-1 part angled above the 3 or 9 o clock points.

do you have a 3 row dfw mi16?

Ok,

The top part makes perfect sense thank you!

The 3 row dfw part, you might as well have said that in Clingon! Please elaborate

Cheers

Look at your ECU connector, does it have two rows of pins or three? The later ones have three rows.

DFW is the engine code. DFW will be a 1.9 with Lambda, Cat, lower comp and 145 bhp i think, as oposed to the older D6C wich has no Lambda, higher comp, no cat and 158 bhp.

Ok I'll take a look at it. Mine is a 2.0 if that helps.

That'll be an XU10J4 S16 or GTI6. Either way not really important.

As Mei said, buy a bung and weld it in the downpipe. I think running without a lambda will put the ECU in limp mode and running it with the lambda not in the exhaust will cause it to overfuel.

Yeah it's an S16.

Agreed on the not connecting, was just curious as to why the manifold would be made without the fitment fir it.

The boss is in its way anyway!

i have the gti6 - 205 maniflow manifold, also doesnt have it, but the manifold is made so you can weld on your own exhaust onto the end of it, would of been helpful to add a lambda and a bung incase you dont want to use it, but i guess they just leave you to add it incase your using carbs
