What are my options as it appears stick on weights foul the Gti6 calipers?

Thanks

Hi dobboy,

Do you have the stick on weights? If so are they still on the inside of the wheel as opposed to stuck the rim...

Thanks

You'll find they will clear the calipers fine if you have them placed more towards the back of the wheel (ie further away from the face).

It's only if they're sort of in the middle of the rim that they'll foul.

Adam, yeah stick on weights.

iirc they were originally on a sort of angled part of the back of the wheel, about 40mm broad.

I think they got moved to nearer the big flat part of the back of the wheel, or the edge of the big flat part itself, but i'm not 100% sure.

They are balanced fine now though.

Mine were positioned to the edge just behind the 'spokes' when I had tyres fitted. Several months later when I actually went to fit the wheels I noticed they rubbed so I just moved them towards the centre of the rim a bit - enough to clear the edge of the caliper.

I used 3m trim tape. Double sided foam stuff with green tape - superb. Use it for sticking badges on, number plates etc. I almost considered using it to tile my bathroom.

Yea i stick mine on the "angled part" of the rim more towards the centre. Make sure you do all 4 wheels like this as i did the front like that and the backs like normal and when i went to the track and did a wheel swap i ended up with a horrible shudder as the weights got knocked off haha
