Jack Location

My 88 GTI came without a vehicle jack, I knew about it when I bought it. No big deal as I had an extra GTI jack at home. So now I'm trying to find how to mount the jack on the car. The user's manual says the jack gors under the driver's seat, but how? I don't see how or where it will fit. Does anyone have or can take a picture of the jack installed under the seat?

I thought it was just air con models that had it mounted under the seat(and its a different jack entirely), standard models have it behind the right hand headlight. I'd not seen one mounted under the seat before i'd read Craigs laser project thread.

EDIT You can see the under seat mounting here; http://forum.205gtidrivers.com/index.php?showtopic=112908&page=28

And the standard behind the headlight mounting here; http://i476.photobucket.com/albums/rr123/dasneakygit/205%20XE/DSCF3095_zps50ca1cd9.jpg

My car has the PAS and the I should have mentioned that my car has the PAS reservoir mounted right behind the right side headlight, where the jack gets stowed on my CTI (no PAS). The pictures on Lazer's thread should answer my question.

Not on my car, that is where the PAS reservoir goes. It's right off the left edge of this picture:

This is the a/c location. A M6 nut is welded to the cross member under the passenger seat, a flap is cut in the carpet, and a threaded plastic handle goes though the jack and bolts it in place :)

To me, it looks like someone has fitted a 306 PAS setup, i've never seen the reservoir in that position on a 205 unless LHD models are different - but then i can't see a setup like yours on servicebox either. From the limited angle it does look like the 306 reservoir aswell.

EDIT - Here is a quick pic of the 306 reservoir in its standard location; http://s161.photobucket.com/user/bbsphotos1/media/P1010366v.jpg.html

Look like yours?

Yes that is mine, and it is solidly mounted to the car too, not flopping around. It really looks like it belongs there.
