Scuttle Panel

Recommended Posts

Have got a scuttle panel that still has the two outer fixing holes in tact. As nearly all of these are cracked I was wondering what is the best way to stop them cracking in the future apart from not fitting it to the car

any suggestions or ideas welcome

Fit a large diameter washer between the screw and the scuttle panel to spread the clamping force out.

You could maybe fit a little bit of thin automotive double sided sticky tape/foam between the plastic and metalwork, at the corner fixings?

Don't do the screws up tight. Use loctite to keep them in place but just nip them up lightly.

What I did on the grille bracket was fit a foam plain washer to act as a cushion
