Brake Upgrade For 1.8 Straight D

Recommended Posts

Robbiedundy

Hey, just bought a 1.8 Straight D and upgrading most of it for GTi stuff like subframe drive train etc, looking at brakes just now. Will 1.6 GTi brakes fit under 13" steelies?

Not sure if this question is in the right thread but is buying 13" steelies a good idea for doing high mileage? I just want them for a sort of rat look.

Cheers,

Robbie.

Gti 1.6 brakes will NOT fit, you will have the change the hub as there is a different offset as the base line hubs, However 306 td ones will fit, what I currently have or berlingo/partner/newer 306 all 266mm setups.

1.6 calipers will fit fine, with 1.9 discs.
