Mi16 Fuel Pipe Connection To Banjo Question.

Recommended Posts

Hello, just wanting to change the filter on my mi16, and noticed the fuel line from the bulkhead to the filter is starting to crack. I know when I did it it was a nightmare connecting the rubber hose to the bulkhead metal fuel pipe. How do people normally connect the bulkhead pipe to the rubber hose? I'm using 7.6 mm/8 mm rubber pipe but it's a sloppy fit. Should I be using 6mm rubber hose from the bulkhead to the first banjo, then 10mm hose from the second banjo to the fuel rail. Think I'm needing a 10mm banjo from filter to to the rail. Anybody have one spare I could buy? Regards Danny

I prefer to retain the original standard pipe here as its a plastic one with a rubber cover.

Because I moved my filter to where the Jack would be that pipe wouldn't be long enough. Unless I move it back. Do you have this pipe your talking about. Wonder where mine is. ...

You should definitely move the filter back behind the strut towers, the area forward of there crumples completely in the event of a crash.

Hello, thanks yeah I'm going to. I've found my old rubber coated plastic pipe from bulk head to base of the filter banjo. Problem is it's split plus I can find it on the parts online. Might have to ask if anybody has one. Also how do peeps connect from the rail back to the bulk head. I'm sure one of them is connected via a female nut? Again using 7.6mm pipe?
