Gti6 Throttle Response

Hi all,

I have a gti6 engine in my 205 and am researching ways to improve the engine's responsiveness to throttle inputs. It already has a lightened flywheel, Ramair filter and I've fitted a Pug Racing full stainless system, but is otherwise just a standard and well cared for engine. I love the power and modern feel of the engine but find it a bit lazier compared to the old 8v, which for me suits the character of the 205 better.

After researching the situation, ITBs, fast road cams, ECU and mapping seem to be the best way to go. Am I on the right lines? Is there anyone about an hour or so from the Manchester area who has done these mods that I could pop over and see?
