306 Front Window Scraper

Recommended Posts

acox99

Could I ask a favour, I need a picture of a phase 1 or 2 window scraper.

I am wondering what the possibility might be in using a pair as a replacement for 205 ones. Just cutting them down on the front edge to make them fit.

I want to know if the 306 extrusion simular in size and shape, and if the cut out at the rear is simular. it might be a no-goer but I don't have access to a 306 to get a side to side picture.

If not I will be going to ATK's route and modifying a passenger one.

Scrap that idea. I found a 306 on my travels.

What about one from a 106. They look very similar. Is a 106 3dr door longer in length than a 205 door. Sorry for my ramblings. Thinking out loud.

The museum in Paris are doing repo driver side ones for about £80

They look good so I have been told.

Is that English drivers side or French drivers side though?!

Andy Williams bought one when I mentioned it and has had no complaints.

9310 72 is O.E number.

Just a tad pricey.

I'm tempted to experiment with the scrapers off my Saxo VTS, when I get round to stripping the exterior, and see how they'd look / adapt to fit the 205.

Alex any chance you could measure them, and put a picture up. I would be interested to see the difference.

Thankyou farmer. Appreciate it. But they are a tad pricey. I would love too it I can't stretch that far when other bits are still crying out for attention.

I'll see what I can do next week for you. Once I've finished removing the exhaust, engine, etc (and also threatening to burn the saxo out if I find any more of the previous owners bodges) i'll try and get them off and have a look. I'd better not remove them yet with the rain this weekend :hehe:

I found a ph2 106 3dr at work today. I managed to get a picture or the end and measured the length of the trim which was 390mm and 15mm deep which is exactly the same as a 205. If they would work without much modification I don't know. Couldn't get any more pics as the dog inside was getting excited for the wrong reasons! The overall shape is different and appears to be to layers on the lip by the window. Side by side paring or trying is the only way to find out. It's never going to be OE. but may be a way out until a cheaper solution happens. I would love a new pair but £80 for a drivers side is out my budget atm.
