It's Been A Very Long Time!

Hello All.

Not been around for a while.

I lost a bit of interest after selling my black Mi16 and buying Feb's old Sorrento - new son came along and work gets busier every week.

I've started restoring the sorrento with a new co-owner. Work began this weekend and the plan is to have her stripped down by Christmas ready for painting.

We're doing OK so far for a pair of novices; front end progressing well although some rust discovered on the passenger side inner wing; hopefully it'll be surface only.

We're already needing lots of parts so will be spending a fair bit more time back here!!

Good to see that you've still got the old girl Andy - I guess that it's been hibernating in the garage for the past few years?

It was a very tidy car when Feb had it first time around, so good that it's going to be getting some love and restored back to the fine fettle it was once in :)

PS. When it's finished you've got to drive it and not just polish it :P

Hasn't moved a wheel in 2 years mate - last tax disc expired 30/09/12.

Cleaning cars faded away a bit other than the dailies but my partner in this has recently got bitten by the bug after buying an M3 and badgered me into dragging her out of the garage. Plan is to get her looking A1 again and enjoy driving her.

We are many months away from that however and although a lot came back to me when taking things off it'll still be an interesting learning curve...
