Stub Axle Advice

Recommended Posts

GTP_Ingram

Hi all,

This is my first post on the forum, it's probably taken me longer than it should have as I've had my 205 for the best part of three years now :D

Anyway, I need a little help please! The axle stub on the N/S is bent, and I need to find a replacement. The problem is, while I've been shopping about there seems to be several stubs of differing sizes, ranging from between 125-146mm long. The one I've just popped out of mine is 135mm, but I'm yet to find anywhere that stocks that size.

I've also just found this one, though the price stings a little (well, a lot) and I'm not certain it is the correct size either.

So I guess my questions are 1) can anyone suggest anywhere decent that might sell what I'm looking for? And 2) given that I'm happy to buy a used one as long as it's in good nick, does anyone have a matching one that they're willing to sell?

The other dimensions that may be helpful are:

Diameter on thread section: 20mm

Diameter on main part of stub: 22-ish mm

Diameter on end opposite from thread: 32mm

Thanks for your help in advance!

all you need to know is which brake you have on the rear, is it a disc brake or drum brake?

disc stub axles are longer, drum ones are all the same bar any manufacturing differences.

Peugeot Sport Fraqnce used to list them at about ten euros a piece.

306/zx/xsara ones are longer again by the way.

I got mine from AB motorsport, just give them a call and state you have disks.
