Vin Plate Question

Ok so this is one of these things that once I have thought about its now bugging me and I can't seem to find the answers.

 

Firstly does anyone have build dates on their VIN plates? I don't on any of my 205's, GTi and a CTi. However I am sure I have seen this on some 205s?

 

Secondly what does the number underneath Automobiles Peugeot and above the Vin number represent? It looks like it has something to do with age. They all seem to start with 04006 then have different two numbers and end with a V. I have a K plate Cti with 0400625V and an F reg Cti with 0400616V. Anyone know?

no obvious date on mine but the number under the "Automobiles Peugeot" is 0400617V on a Oct 89 1.9

I does give an exact, to the day, build date.

how about that, found out it was made on my 20th birthday in 1989...spooky...

I thought I had seen this number before, so looked back at the photos and the number was behind the insulation on the bulkhead. (472)
