Mi16 Head With 1.6 Block

Hi

I am pretty new to engine modifications and am wanting to put a 1.6 crank and conrods in to an XU9J4RS block (with Mi16 head) but read somewhere that the 1.9 pistons (which I will have to use) wont go with the 1.6 rods. Does anyone know if this is true? Has any one done this conversion?

Have seen that car that's in the link racing and it goes very well and sounds great. It is still going since the engine was built with no problems so the crank and con rods must be strong enough.
