Does anyone know if the GTI came with a First Aid kit?

(if so do you have one that you could post a pic of or describe?)

I'm going to say no, because

a} In all these years on the forum, I don't recall mention of one, and I'm a bit nerdy for remembering stuff like that

b} If they did come with one, you can bet that Craig would have replicated it for his Laser by now

Cheers GLP, I don't remember having one in my car back in the day (which i was the 2nd owner of), but i probably wouldn't ...and if it did have one i would probably have tossed it to minimise rattling about the glove box.

But when i bought the car i have just now it came with one and the logo on it ties in with the year of the car.

Is there such a thing as an accessory or option list kicking about anywhere that was available?

The dealers always had a first aid bag in their display cabinets as an accessory, but they didn't come in the car, its not a BMW

you should see the toolkit and first aid kits that would have been in my E34 back in the day.

I have had my 1.6 GTi phase 2 1990 from new (£11,000 btw) and it never came with a first aid kit. Just passed its MOT with no advisories as well at 72000 miles.

Cool, the receipt for mines says £9688 iirc, a 1988 model, of which £168 was for sunroof, £17 for mats, and 20 for security etching.

I imagine a first aid kit was the last thing on your mind when you bought that

dobboy: If I had a box that said "Peugeot First Aid" on it I'd fill it with 205 spares and tools...

Lol, at the time of that advert it should actually have read, "if you've got one of these buy something sensible - condoms and seat covers"

You got a warning Triangle holder with ABS equipped models, maybe the Euro ones might have even had one as std which was as close to First aid as you got

An old Pug sales guy told me similar, but that he thought models bound for the continent had a FA kit and/or Triangle depending what country it was going to.

I think Germany is the only country with that requirement, hence the warning triangle and first aid kit as standard into most things.

Never had anything like that in France.
