Will A 205 Ma Box Go Into A 1.4 306

Just wondering if it a 205 MA box will go into a 1.4 306 I've been told it will except the gear linkages may upset things ?

Just incase anyone else wants to know I fitted the 205 box into the 306 just had to bend the top join on the box so the ball joint was vertical and fit the bottom link off the 306 box onto the 205 one. All works perfect now
