Mocal Oil Cooler Leaking Gti6

Hi,

I've got a Mocal oil cooler fitted to my Gti6 engined 205, I've noticed it's weeping at the joint on one side I've tried to tighten it but access isn't great so before I strip down to take a closer look How do they seal is it with a o ring only ask if when I strip it down I can already have the new part here

No there isn't an o-ring the unions are angled so when you tighten them the faces seal. Try some ptfe tape on the threads and faces and tighten it as much as you can.

 

Nightmares to sort out on a 205 cos of no access.

Don't use ptfe tape. Its a quick way to kill an engine.

 

Use liquid sealant sparingly.

Mine did this, just the smallest nip to tighten can make a difference . Making sure everything is very clean.
