Brake Servo Vacuum Seal

Recommended Posts

Kane

I'm at the last stages of my Mi conversion and have misplaced the rubber seal that is fitted around the white vacuum bung located on the brake servo. I'm sure I have it somewhere amongst all my spare bits in the garage but cannot for the life of me remember what it looks like so wondered if anyone had a picture they could post up to help me out.

Cheers

Sounds familiar, I think I probably spend about two hours looking for things I know I have for every hour I actually work on a car.

Just out of interest what models of 205, or any other Peugeot/Citreon share the brake servo as fitted to the 1.9 Gti? On the lookout for a replacement vacuum seal ,as above, and thought I might have more luck at a scrappies if there were other models with the same part.

The servos themselves vary from model to model, but the seal looks to be the same on more or less all of them.

Does anyone know if these are sold by Peugeot individually? Been on servicebox but can't locate a part number. Thought it might be an idea to try the dealer before hunting the scrappies.

It's 4599.15 but that is the seal and the white plastic 90 degree piece together for £22.52!

It is a one way valve not just a 90 elbow.

If they are standard across a lot of manufacturers something like this - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/131110486853 - might be the same but I can't be sure, it definitely looks right.

Funny you put up that link Kieran. I went looking up in the other garage today just on the off chance I'd put any spares up there, no spares but I had a rummage around in my old mini clubman I have and turns out their servo has the exact same seal.

I don't plan on retaining any of the mechanical items on the mini so just nabbed that fitted it to the 205 and presto we're all ready for the launch, well I hope so.
