Sumpguard Overheating?

Hi guys,

 

Have just fitted a sump guard on a TU1, is this likely to cause problems with oil cooling, or are these engines okay without the need for an oil cooler?

Not sure about the tu's but my xu9 ran considerably warmer with the guard on
