Really Odd Exhaust Behaviour And Knocking Noise From Dash...

Following my backbox exploding had a new one fitted.

 

I had a knocking noise from the exhaust somewhere earlier, idle dropped, it was missing when booting it in second.

 

But the oddest thing was a weird knocking creaking type spund from dash area at same time as exhaust knock - see attached vid below.

 

Any ideas? I'm really at a loss!

doesnt do it constantly though. Could this be a symptom of cracked exhaust manifold?

I wonder if you have worn engine mounts ?

If engine mounts were worn wouldn't it do it all the time?

 

That creaking/odd sound from the dash in the video only does it when the exhaust starts rattling. Idle goes all over the place and it cut out once too. Misfire in second when it's behaving like this as well. So I don't think it's mounts.

if it is still happening next weekend I don't mind taking a look at it for you. if it is something simple I should have plenty of spares to fix it, but I am away in Aberystwyth until the bank holiday weekend
