Pretty sure there's a way to contact them/him through Facebook. I'm pretty sure there's a page for CPS.

Report it to the Police straight off I'd say, let them visit him.

I've passed his name , address and phone number on to the officer that came out when they were stolen so it's just a matter of waiting now

If you've got a crime reference number, he has to play ball.

Just had a call from the plod saying they've not bothered ringing the guy about the wheels as that've got photographic proof that those wheels have been on that car ( which hasn't even got a reg plate fitted in the eBay pics ) since 2009 , when asked how he knows that's not actually my car they've been looking at he replied by saying erm I don't know !!!

Oh and although he repeatedly said he's 100% sure they're not mine he did suggest I ring the guy myself and go to have a look at them ....... The word feckless sprung to mind

Sort of off topic, but......my father in law is a taxi driver and has had his taxi broken in to twice in the last few weeks. Turns out it's a gang of kids on bikes that are targeting taxis. There's been a spate of them, the glaziers have confirmed this (they are busy!), there's been a witness who overheard the kids talking brazenly about doing it and making £400 quid a week and he told my father in law, and there was a witness to the last break in (mid day sat) who follwed them to get a good look at them. Local police have all of this info and what do they do? f*** all.

They're soon on your door when you take matters in your own hands even though they can't be bothered

I had 2 Audi alloys stolen earlier this year. Phoned plod, got crime reference number, said I suspected the local 'travelling people' as heating oil had also been stolen from the houses nearby. Plod not interested. Kept my eyes on the local site, ebay and gumtree. Found them in the tinkers yard, phoned police "don't have resources" was the reply. Ended up getting some friendly local hardcases to retrieve them.

Complaint already sent. It wouldn't be so bad but in my work I not infrequently help the police.

When I got punched in the face by some c**t at the local pub, the officer tried to state that my friend had been winding the other guy up and it may come back on him and do I want to take it further (they had no idea who the guy was) and that was just his way of trying to get it dropped because he wasn't going to be able to get the guy and in his eyes it was wasting his time. I told this to an ex-copper who said immediately "ask to speak to his sergeant! And tell him he's trying to avoid doing his job", if he gets caught not doing his job it'll be a right pain for him. I mean, he was pretty much suggesting that you can hit someone if they wind you up! I'm from a family of police officers and tbh they don't get respect from me; except my grandad who was a legend and back then coppers were real men!
