1.6 Disc And Pad Uprgrade, Recomendations?

hi there need new discs an pads for my 1.6 gti6, i'm looking to upgrade from original parts to more efficient parts ny other brake ugrades would be welcomed although as i have a 1.6 brake setup i understand my options are limited unless i carry out extra work.

Best brake upgrade imho is braided brake hoses, it gives a lot firmer pedal that so more pressure at the pads rather than swelling rubber hoses

dont bother with 'uprated' discs unless you are track only. Pagid eurocarparts discs are about £30 a pair! I use them even though I'm track only

 

As above, lines, decent fluid - I have been using Motul RBF 600 with no complaints, and an uprated pad of your choice dependant on your application.

I put a pair of yellowstuff pads on a 1.6 with standard discs and was happy enough with the results. Just needed a stamp or two to warm them up
